Terms of Use
Last updated: August 30, 2026
These terms govern your use of Yomlet ("the app"), operated by Koi Gang Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us", "the company"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Yomlet is currently offered in the United States.
Who can use Yomlet
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or use the app. Yomlet is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
What Yomlet does
Yomlet lets you save short-form video links (TikTok, Instagram) and converts them into structured, searchable cards. You organise these cards into folders in your personal library. The app is available on the web and as an iOS app. The videos you save live on third-party platforms; those platforms' terms and privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
Your account
You must create an account to save videos. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One person per account; do not share your credentials. We may suspend or delete accounts that appear to be shared, automated, or used in ways that abuse the service.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page inside the app, or by emailing hello@yomlet.com. Deletion is permanent and immediately removes your account and library from our database — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that includes and for how long records held by our service providers persist. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription purchased through the App Store or Play Store; you must cancel that separately (see "Credits and subscriptions" below).
Credits and subscriptions
Yomlet uses a credit system to control how many videos you can save.
- Free tier. Every account gets 5 credits per week at no cost. Unused credits do not carry over; your free balance resets to 5 at the start of each week.
- Credit packs. Credit packs (10 or 50 credits) are one-time, consumable purchases. Purchased credits do not expire while the credit system operates (see "Availability and changes" for what happens if the service is discontinued) and are separate from your weekly free credits: they are drawn down only after your free weekly credits run out, and they carry over indefinitely until used. Once a credit is used to save a video, it cannot be recovered, except when a save fails, in which case the credit is automatically refunded.
- Unlimited subscription. The Unlimited subscription is a monthly auto-renewable subscription that removes credit limits for the duration of the subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancellation deadlines and billing timing are governed by the store you subscribed through, as shown when you subscribe: Apple requires cancelling at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period; Google Play applies your cancellation from the next renewal date.
- Where purchases are sold. All credit packs and the Unlimited subscription are sold exclusively through in-app purchase: Apple's App Store on iOS, and Google Play billing where the app is available on Android. We do not sell credits or subscriptions through our website, and we do not process payments ourselves — no Stripe, no card entry on yomlet.com.
- Payment processing. All payments are processed by Apple or Google through their respective app stores. Yomlet does not collect or store your payment card details. Prices are displayed in your local currency by the store.
- Refunds. Refund requests are generally handled through the store you purchased from. For Apple purchases, refunds are granted by Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play's refund request process. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived. Apple purchases are additionally governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription from your device's subscription settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or the Play Store's Subscriptions page on Android.
- What happens when you cancel. Cancelling Unlimited stops future renewal; you keep Unlimited access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free tier (5 credits/week). Any credit packs you purchased separately are not affected by cancelling Unlimited: those credits remain in your account, subject to the credit-pack terms above.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Submit a URL unless you have all rights and permissions necessary to cause Yomlet to retrieve and process that content as described in these terms. A video being publicly viewable does not by itself mean you have those rights; you are responsible for making sure you do.
- Knowingly submit non-public, confidential, or unlawfully disclosed sensitive personal information (such as private medical records) about yourself or anyone else. Publicly posted videos that incidentally touch on health, lifestyle, or similar topics are fine; deliberately feeding private records into the service is not.
- Attempt to circumvent the credit system, rate limits, or other technical controls.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to submit URLs, scrape Yomlet's own content, or otherwise interact with the app at a scale or in a manner beyond normal personal use.
- Interfere with the operation of the service or other users' access to it.
We may remove or disable access to any content that violates these rules or applicable law, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Your content
You retain ownership of your library organisation: the folders you create, the way you arrange your saved cards, and anything you write in the app are yours. The underlying videos, their captions, and their transcripts belong to their respective rights holders; saving a video to Yomlet does not give you or us ownership of it. By submitting a video URL, you represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to cause us to retrieve the publicly available caption, transcript, thumbnail, and still frames of that video and process them into a structured card, and you instruct us to do so on your behalf. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display the content you submit and the material retrieved at your direction, solely to operate, provide, secure, support, and maintain the Service and to generate and display the structured cards you request. We do not redistribute, publish, or sell your saved content, and we will not use it in advertising or promotion without your separate, affirmative permission.
Yomlet processes publicly available video content created by third parties. We do not claim ownership of that content. The structured cards we generate are automated, machine-produced summaries provided "as is," for your personal convenience; they may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and you should not treat them as a substitute for watching or verifying the original video where accuracy matters.
Take extra care with safety-related content. Cards may summarise recipes, ingredients, workouts, financial tips, or other advice. Always verify allergens, food-safety steps, dosages, exercise suitability, and any other safety- or health-critical detail against the original video and your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional where it matters. Cards are a finding aid, not professional advice.
Our intellectual property and your licence to use the app
Yomlet's software, design, branding, trademarks, and technology are owned by Koi Gang Inc. or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction; copy, resell, or commercially exploit the service; or use the service to build a competing product.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the service, we may use them freely, without restriction or obligation to you.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Yomlet available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. If we make changes that materially affect your paid subscription, we will notify you in advance where practicable. If we discontinue Yomlet or the credit system entirely, unused purchased credits will stop being usable when the service ends; we will give notice where practicable, and any compensation is at our discretion except where store rules or applicable law require otherwise.
Limitation of liability
Yomlet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations; nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty, right, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and where that is the case, the disclaimer or limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content stored in Yomlet infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@yomlet.com with "Copyright notice" in the subject line, including: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the material you want removed and enough information for us to locate it; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
We will promptly remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice containing the elements required by the DMCA, and we may restore the material as the DMCA provides.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and without regard to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If the law of the place where you live gives you consumer rights or protections that cannot be waived by contract, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts, this section does not take those away.
Privacy
Your use of Yomlet is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised; for significant changes we will aim to notify you by email. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If a change is unacceptable to you, stop using the app and delete your account.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Koi Gang Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, and the resulting damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees, arising from content you submit in material breach of your representations in these terms, your knowing infringement of another's rights, or your unlawful use of the app. We will notify you promptly of any such claim, and we retain the right to control the defence and settlement of it, with your reasonable cooperation. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own negligence or wilful misconduct.
App Store
The app is licensed to you, not sold. If you downloaded the app through Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and Koi Gang Inc., not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for it or for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your download to the extent it does not conflict with these terms, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with the right to enforce them against you as to your use of the iOS app.
General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service, and they supersede any prior understandings. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You consent to receiving notices and other communications from us electronically, by email or in-app. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case they continue to bind the successor.
